According to the sign it can take about 30 minutes to walk from the entry point (here) to the centre and out again. That is without stepping across the gaps between bricks. What you can do with a few thousand old bricks and gravel!

Workmen approach the elevator shaft of the CTV building - 05 March 2011
The CTV building claimed 115 lives when it collapsed in a pile of smoking rubble on 22 February 2011 during a 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch and only the lift shaft was left standing.
The CBD is slowly being opened up and this is the post - earthquake result of Cashel Mall.
A vibrant, fresh look with high end shopping in colourful container shops.
A really good step forward for the city.
