A photograph looking north up Durham Street from the Gloucester Street intersection. To the left, there is a large pile of rubble from a demolished building, to the right, the Canterbury Provincial Chambers. The Provincial Chambers building has been largely deconstructed and plastic sheeting has been placed over part of the roof. Wire fencing has been placed around the buildings.
A view looking south down Durham Street. Two fire engines are driving north, and a pair of construction workers are walking up the road. Behind them is the damaged Provincial Council Legislative Chambers. The building's walls and roof have collapsed, as has the scaffolding which was erected to repair it after the 4 September 2010 earthquake.
A photograph of the earthquake-damaged Stone Chamber of the Canterbury Provincial Council Buildings on Durham Street North. Large sections of the Chamber have collapsed and the masonry and other rubble has spilled onto the footpath in front. To the left scaffolding constructed up the side of the building has also collapsed and twisted out of shape. Wire fences have been placed along the side of the building as a cordon.
