Damage to a house in Richmond. Bricks have fallen from a wall, and there is a visible gap between the foundation and the surrounding ground. The photographer comments, "The foundation and a section of the wall of the dining room have shifted and cracked. The dining room floor is very springy".
A photograph of a building on Lichfield Street near Poplar Lane. The facade on the top storey of the building crumbled during the earthquake to reveal the walls underneath. Wire fencing has been placed around the building to keep people from entering.

The top of the facade of Asko Design has crumbled and fallen into the street, taking the awning with it. The side wall has also collapsed, exposing the inside of the building. Wire fencing and tape have been used to cordon the buildings off.
