A sign for a community briefing to be held at Oxford Street grass area at Lyttelton Main School on Sunday 17 April 2.30pm. These signs were put up in all locations in Christchurch for each community briefing. The first series (6 March to 12 March) were held in 12 locations, second series (21 March to 26 March) in 10 locations and the third series (16 April to 18 April) in 8 locations.

A poem written on Gap Filler and Poetica's "Instant Poetry" wall on Colombo Street. The poem reads, "Amidst the shards of glass and twisted steel, beside the fallen brick and scattered concrete, we began to understand that there is beauty in the broken. Strangers do not live here anymore". This poem was picked by the public as the favourite poem written on the wall. It was then painted permanently onto the mural.

A digitally manipulated image of furniture and machinery. The photographer comments, "This furniture restoration company got caught in the middle of the Christchurch earthquake and lost a whole wall. After constant exposure to the elements everything now needs a bit of restoration. They are now working in a different part of Christchurch, but their past can still be seen".

A digitally manipulated image of light sculptures on Gloucester Street during the LuxCity event. The photographer comments, "This was part of the LuxCity event in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was a way of creating a city of lights on the sites of demolished buildings in the earthquake devastated red zone. 350 architecture and design students from all around New Zealand created and constructed 16 pop up spaces".

A photograph of the earthquake damage to the corner of Woodham Road and Avonside Drive. There are large cracks in the road, and flooding and liquefaction. Wire fencing and road cones have been placed around parts of the road that are unsafe. Two signs reading, "Road closed" and, "No entry" can be seen at the entrance to Avonside Drive.

A photograph of footage of Cathedral Square playing on a number of computer monitors as part of Gap Filler's ninth project, Thinking Outside the Square. The footage was sourced from the Christchurch community and cut into an hour-long video spanning 100 years. The monitors are placed amongst wooden pallets, an excavator, and other building material.

The book launch for "The Shaken Heart Booklet", a collection of interviews with members of the Lyttelton Community put together by Sue-Ellen Sandilands (left), Bettina Evans (middle) and Jen Kenix (right). The event was held at the Lyttelton Pentanque Club, a Gap Filler project on the site of the Ground Culinary Centre on London Street. In the background, members of the public are also making wool medals to celebrate the achievements of the community after the earthquake.

USAR codes have been spray-painted on the glass door and window of the store. A yellow sticker has also been stuck to the door, indicating that access to the building is restricted.

Messages on the "I hope Christchurch will..." blackboard on the corner of Tuam and Colombo Streets. Members of the public were invited to fill in the gaps with what they would like to see in the rebuilt city. Messages can be seen, such as, "Smile!", "Be filled with art and culture!", "Cater and be fun for all ages", "Always be positive" and "Wake up".

A car on Rowses Road has its wheels embedded in liquefaction. The photographer comments, "The most common sight was extensive damage to the roads. Papanui, Breezes, Wainoni, Shortland Street and many more roads had large cracks and large sink holes. There were approximately 6 cars and 1 large Ready Mix cement truck that had fallen into holes within a few blocks of each other. All people appear to have escaped without serious injury as far as I could tell".
