A red sticker has been placed on the front door as well as a sign reading "No Entry". Fencing has been placed along the footpath to warn people off.

'Passing Time' was installed outside the CPIT Building for the 6th SCAPE (a contemporary public art programme in Christchurch) a few days prior to the 22 February 2011 earthquake. Context - The AMI Stadium was supposed to be the venue for the Rugby World Cup in Christchurch - a decision made on 16 March was made that Christchurch was not in a position to host the RWC. With Manchester St on the city side of Bealey Ave cordoned off, street workers have been working from the residential area between Bealey and Purchas St. and residents are furious. Sixteen-year-old Sam Mackwell and his mates from St Thomas of Canterbury College have created a device that uses boiling water to charge cellphones, power a light and run a radio. They came up with the idea for the small generator after the first earthquake in Canterbury in September when electricity supplies were cut to much of the city. They call the device"The Lion"and hope to sell it in retail stores soon.

The house took half the dining room's remaining bricks with it as it jumped off the foundations. It gives a good visual indication of the displacement".

The neighbours behind us used the kayak to get in to their house - it's flooded by Dudley Creek which runs behind the block, plus major liquefaction. Our old garage provides a good spot to park it".
