The Windsor Hotel, on the corner of Montreal Street and Armagh Street. The building was red-stickered after the September 2010 earthquake and demolished after the February 2011 earthquake. Beside the hotel, construction has begun on a modern, tilt-slab building.

A view across Cambridge Terrace to the former Canterbury Public Library. Masonry from the building's corners and end gable has fallen onto the footpath and the base of the building has been cordoned off with wire fencing.
The British Hotel on the corner of Oxford Street and Norwich Quay. The top of the building has crumbled into the street below and wire fencing has been placed around it as a cordon.

The sign of the badly damaged Knox Presbyterian Church on the corner of Bealey Avenue and Victoria Street. The brickwork from the gable above has crumbled, exposing the inside of the building.
The north-west corner of the Cranmer Courts on Montreal Street. Wooden bracing has been placed against the brickwork near the window to hold it together. In front, a street light has been knocked on a lean by the earthquake.
