A crane dismantles the top storey of Fuze Restaurant and Cafe, which was formerly the Harbour Board Offices building. It was constructed in 1880 from brick and Quail Island stone. It stands on the corner of Oxford Street and Norwich Quay in Lyttelton.

An abandoned residential property at 32 Waygreen Avenue in New Brighton. The front of the section is overgrown with weeds and silt from liquefaction. One brick fence posts remain upright and two others have toppled onto the grass. The gutter has partly flooded.
Blackwell's Department Store on the corner of Raven and Williams Streets in Kaiapoi. The top story of the building has collapsed into the bottom, as well as the awning into the street. A broken brick wall is visible above.
