ContainerArt is a project to beautify shipping containers around the city, turning the negative into a positive.

The photographer comments, "A Sunday afternoon ride to New Brighton, then back via Aranui, Wainoni, Dallington, and Richmond. Not a cheerful experience. Pumping station. Another hydraulically-lifted sewage pumping station, this time on Avonside Drive".

The artwork is part of the ContainerArt project which aims to turn the fixture of shipping containers in the Sumner community into a positive by turning them into works of art.

The Wizard of Christchurch talks to a member of the public outside the damaged cathedral. A walkway from Gloucester Street to the Square was opened up for a few days to allow the public a closer look at the cathedral. The tower and the front wall of the building have partially collapsed. Steel bracing has been added to the front wall for support.

The SCIRT team found the tramline while repairing the damaged wastewater system under North Avon Road in May.
