A collapsed brick wall on Halswell Junction Road. A stack of bricks have been saved by the tree which has grown in a curve and is resting on the wall, holding the bricks in place. A pile of bricks can be seen on the ground where they fell.

A video of a fire which broke out in the Pills for Thrills building on Worcester Street following the 4 September 2010 earthquake. The fire is thought to have been caused by a gas leak in the building.

A faltering economy is likely to mean the Reserve Bank will keep the official cash rate on hold this morning. That could be some help to businesses in Christchurch, struggling first with the slow recovery and then hammered by the earthquake 12 days ago.
A photograph of the Durham Street Methodist Church. The parapet at the tip of the front gable has come loose and is leaning towards the road. Steel bracing has been placed behind the parapet to keep it from toppling.
Cordon fencing around the Arts Centre on Worcester Boulevard. A man with a hard hats and hi-vis vest on can be. Wooden bracing has been placed on the gable on the tower to limit further earthquake damage. There is a crane sitting inside the fenced area.

A video capturing an aftershock from the Canterbury earthquake on 13 June 2011, 2:20 pm. A strong shake after lunch time caused Ben Post to set up his camera in his workplace, capturing this aftershock. The camera is mounted on a small sturdy tripod on top of a table with wheels.

A video showing engineers removing the latticework from the top of the Press Building in Cathedral Square. The latticework is being removed after engineers discovered it was being held onto the building by only two bolts. The bolts are no bigger than a little finger.
