The fence has been decorated with fairy lights. Other decorations to the project sight includes the brightly coloured bunting above the audience, which is attached to the wall of Beckenham's Mitre 10.

A mural on the exposed wall of a building on Peterborough Street. This was a joint project between Gap Filler and the Flying Cup Cafe. The mural is a beach scene with a quote from Anne Frank, reading, "Isn't it wonderful that nobody need waste a single moment to improve the world", and incorporates pre-existing street art and posters.

The goal was to create beauty in the midst of chaos, to keep people's hands busy and their minds off the terrifying reality of the earthquakes, as well as to give a gift of love to workers and businesses who helped improve life in Lyttelton.

Tarpaulins have been laid over the holes in the roof as waterproofing, but the closest has shredded. Gaps can be seen between the bricks in the wall and the wall to the left has crumbled.

I think the guy was worried about the fast flow causing him to fill his boots rather than the depth".
