The entrance to the Christchurch Casino. On the fencing around the Casino is a sign that reads "Casino Opening 8pm Thursday May 26th".
The roof gable on the Avon Bridal building has crumbled onto the footpath. On the building are spray painted markings, used by USAR after they had checked the building after the February earthquake.
A member of the Lyttelton community who was given a felt heart. The felt hearts were a healing outlet during the Canterbury earthquakes. The goal was to create beauty in the midst of chaos, to keep people's hands busy and their minds off the terrifying reality of the earthquakes, as well as to give a gift of love to workers and businesses who helped improve life in Lyttelton.
A post on the NZ Raw blog written by Mark Lincoln on 3 March 2011. Mark says, "Sydenham Church - this is the one that was demolished and then suddenly everyone started asking why it was demolished - somewhere along the line there was a communication error and a demolition company knocked down the church without speaking to the Heritage Trust".
