The Cranmer Centre in Armagh Street with damage to the top archways on the roof. Wooden bracing has been placed on the archways and tarpaulins to prevent weather damage to the inside of the building.

A group of people inspect the damaged rowing club buildings at Kerrs Reach. A large gap has appeared between two concrete slabs beside the building, where the land has slumped towards the river.

St Elmo Courts, a NZHPT heritage building on the corner of Hereford and Montreal Streets. The building was severely damaged during the 4 September earthquake, with diagonal cracking between the windows. Scaffolding has been placed around the bottom of the building.
