Two of the large boulders (larger than a house or two) that came down from Castle Rock (see the fence in front of the boulders).
The historic Deans Homestead 23 months ago. Now destroyed in the Canterbury earthquake of September 4th 2010. This photo was taken on the PSNZ 2008 Southern Regional Photographic Convention bus trip.

Taken as the severity of the situation began to sink in to most of the people wandering around. Police, Fire and other emergency personal showed a fantastic response to how they dealt with the situation they had.
