Another city walk around, this time with my brother-in-law from Auckland. Also went to the Quake City exhibition in the city organised by the Canterbury Museum. First fine day for a while.

The base of the tower on the right of this picture has sunk about 25cm so that the lower course of bricks have disappeared below ground level. The distinctive red brick Piko Wholefoods seems to have survived. That building dates from 1905 and was originally a painter and paperhanger's premises.
