Shipping containers have been placed around the eastern side of the Cathedral to protect the road from falling debris. Wire fencing has also been placed around the building as a cordon. To the right, the damaged and party deconstructed tower can be seen with the missing spire which fell during the 22 February 2011 earthquake.

Moira Fraser in front of the 'Passing Time' sculpture on the corner of St Asaph Street and Madras Street. 'Passing Time' was installed outside the CPIT Building for the 6th SCAPE (a contemporary public art programme in Christchurch) a few days prior to the 22 February 2011 earthquake. The work features twisting boxes depicting each year between 1906 (the founding of CPIT) and 2010 (the date of the sculpture's production).

A photograph of the earthquake damage to the Observatory tower at the Christchurch Arts Centre. The top two storeys of the tower collapsed during the 22 February 2011 earthquake and the rubble spilled into the courtyard in front. A digger was used to clear the rubble away from the building. A tarpaulin has been draped over the top of the tower and the roof of the building behind.

A bunch of flowers laid beside the Avon River during the River of Flowers event held in Riccarton Bush, commemorating the second anniversary of the 22 February earthquake. The photographer comments, "The organisers told me these were brought by an elderly South African woman. She had a disability so couldn't make it down to the riverbank herself, so she asked the organisers to throw them in on her behalf".

A video of an interview with Tracey McKeefrey about her leaky house. McKeefrey and her family have been living in the house since the 22 February 2011 earthquake, despite the fact that over 300 litres of water comes through the house every wet day. The property has been classified as TC3 but the family still does not know if it will be repaired or rebuilt.

The photographer comments, "This was taken shortly after the 4th September earthquake. Police allowed us free access past the cordon and simply advised us to watch out for falling masonry. A photograph of a veterinarian and SPCA Field Officer preparing a pigeon before the two minutes of silence held in respect for those who lost their lives in the 22 February 2011 earthquake. The pigeon was to be released as a symbol of love, hope and renewal after the two minutes of silence. It was found amongst the rubble and debris of the ChristChurch Cathedral and named Barney Rubble.

Beynen investigates the construction manager of the building, Gerald Shirtcliff, who allegedly faked an engineering degree and stole the identity of an engineer he knew in South Africa. The video also includes footage of Shirtcliff giving evidence about the CTV Building at the Canterbury Earthquake Royal Commission.
