A photograph of a green sticker on the window of The Dolls House Shop antique store on Colombo Street. The sticker indicates that the store is safe to enter. The sign reads, "Inspected, no restriction on use or occupancy. This building has received a brief inspection only. While no apparent structural or other safety hazards have been found, a more comprehensive inspection of the exterior and interior may reveal safety hazards". The structural engineer has written on the sign "propping to rear of building inadequate, fire egress also at rear inappropriate, no occupancy to second storey".

Damage to Lyttelton following the 22 February 2011 earthquake. Ground Culinary Centre on the corner of London and Canterbury Streets. The wall on the top storey has crumbled into the street, covering the footpath in bricks. Large cracks can be seen above the door, coming out from the corners of the window.

A massive 7.4 magnitude earthquake has hit Christchurch and the wider South Island, causing widespread damage, two serious injuries and power cuts to most of the city. Clinton Gooch was awake when the quake hit and was running downstairs to get outside when the wall of his flat collapsed causing the windows to shatter in the shop below".
