The damaged cathedral is supported with steel bracing and cordoned off with fencing and barriers. Taken on a day when a walkway was opened up between Re:Start Mall and Cathedral Square to allow temporary public access.
People walk past a damaged building on the corner of Edgeware Road and Barbadoes Street. Parts of the brick facade have collapsed, and the building is cordoned off with road cones and police tape.
The east wall of St Luke's Church on Manchester Street. The top of the wall has broken away and is now covered with plastic to prevent weather damage inside the building.
St John's Church on Hereford Street. The damaged bell tower is partially demolished. It has been taken apart by hand, the stonework carefully sorted and laid out on the grass.
The damaged Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club building. The rear of the building has been demolished, and spray-painted notices on the walls read "No entry, not safe" and "No parking, not safe".
