The damaged Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, seen from Fitzgerald Avenue. The dome has been partially deconstructed, and cracking is visible in the walls. The photographer comments, "This photo was taken recently on Fitzgerald Avenue ... you can see that work has begun to remove the dome on top of the damaged Cathedral of he Blessed Sacrament".

The Harbourlight Theatre on London Street in Lyttelton. There is cracking along the side of the building and damage to the domes on top of the towers. Bracing has been placed at the top to limit further damage and to stop debris from falling on the road.

Damage to a house in Richmond. A brick chimney has visibly twisted and there are gaps between the bricks. The photographer comments, "Damaged chimney. We'll have to get this taken down tidily, but our roofer friends are a bit busy... (It was taken down on the morning of Day 2, just as well)".
