A video about the service held in East Timor for personnel in the New Zealand and Australian Defence Force and the police. The service was held in honour of the people who lost their lives in the 22 February 2011 earthquake, as well as to acknowledge the people providing relief back in Christchurch.

Members of the public were invited to fill in the gaps with what they would like to see in the rebuilt city. Messages can be seen, such as, "Smile!", "Be filled with art and culture!", "Cater and be fun for all ages", "Always be positive" and "Wake up".

The "Tree of Hope" at the River of Flowers event held in Riccarton Bush, commemorating the second anniversary of the 22 February earthquake. The photographer comments, "Luggage labels and pens were supplied, and people were encouraged to write a message of hope for Christchurch and tie it to the tree. Although the turn-out this year was just as big as last year's, there were not as many messages tied to the tree - perhaps we're all feeling less hopeful this year".
