The students have spent the day clearing liquefaction from Christchurch properties as part of the Student Volunteer Army. Workers seen through a gap between wooden pallets in GapFiller's Pallet Pavillion. The photographer comments, "Though it looks strange and Photoshopped this is a straight shot through pallets painted blue. The Pallet Pavilion is built on the site of the demolished Crowne Plaza Hotel. It was built by volunteers, mainly students and construction engineers over 6 weeks. Here students are being given health and safety instructions before helping out on completing the temporary structure".

A photograph of the earthquake-damaged Observatory tower at the Christchurch Arts Centre. The photograph was taken using a cellphone camera. The top of the tower collapsed during the 22 February 2011 earthquake. The rubble from the tower has been cleared and a tarpaulin has been placed over the top of the broken tower. Tyres have been placed on the tarpaulin to hold it down. A temporary roof has also been constructed over the tower to keep out the rain. Two vehicles are parked in front.

The Cassels are developing the site into a Victorian-style arcade which will house up to 70 tenants, including bars, restaurants, a music venue, gift shops, fashion stores, a hair salon, a Pilates studio, a tattoo parlour, and an art gallery. The video also includes an interview with Sarah Odering, the manger of Dead Set.

A video of an interview with Andy Dodd, archaeologist at Underground Overground Archaeology, and Rewi Couch, representative for Te Hapu o Ngai Te Wheke, about the excavation of the site of the former Lyttelton Post Office on Norwich Quay. A Maori adze was found by the archaeologists deep beneath the concrete foundations of the building. The adze is a woodworking tool which indicates that early Maori settlers may have carved and launched waka on the site.

Brownlee announces that 247 properties will change from green zoned to red zoned and 33 properties will change from red zoned to green zoned. The properties that have been rezoned red have an unacceptable level of life risk from cliff collapse and the potential of debris inundation.
