Colin describes the photograph as follows: "A view from UCSA towards the (right side of our) Science Building. I am not sure what that target white building behind the lamp standard is. I still remember that little wooden bridge we walked across to the UCSA building & that meandering creek or stream that flows beneath it".

This study updated and superseded Earthquake hazard and risk assessment study Stage 1 Part A: Earthquake source identification and characterisation (Pettinga et al, 1998). It compiled and tabulated all relevant available information on earthquake sources in Canterbury and updated the active faults database with new fault locations and information.
