It will remain at the park until a permanent home can be found for it as an earthquake memorial.
Aerial footage of a site in Avondale where several liquefaction remediation options are being tested. Gelignite explosives have been buried throughout the site. These will be set off to simulate liquefaction caused by an earthquake. The result, if successful, will help EQC protect people's houses from future earthquakes, and settle land claims. The video was recorded using a drone aircraft.
A video of students from Merrin School laying 185 flowers at the foot of the school flag pole on the second anniversary of the 22 February 2011 earthquake. Each flower represents one of the lives lost in the earthquake. The video also includes audio from the school's memorial service, including a poem by Alexis Blackie read by her sister Vanessa Blackie, and a speech by Principal Lisa Dillon-Robertson.
A video showing All Right? and BNZ team members giving out flowers to staff and customers on 4 September 2013, the third anniversary of the first major earthquake. 2000 flowers from Moffatts Flower Company and hundreds of coffee vouchers from Underground Coffee were distributed as part of the Flower Bombing, to some of the areas and people most effected by the quakes - the EQC call centre, Lyttelton Main School, Lyttleton West School, Phillipstown School, Eastgate Mall and SCIRT workers. The limousine was provided by Christchurch Limousines, staffed people from All Right? and Lana and Caitlin from More FM. Inside, the limousine was stocked with All Right? flags and balloons. Passengers were treated to croissants and encouraged to discuss their wellbeing. The event and video was the second of All Right?'s 'Outrageous Bursts of All Right', occurring in early October 2013. The Press published the video in an online article by Nicole Mathewson on 4 October 2013 at 8:00am. All Right? posted a link to the video on their Facebook Timeline on 25 November 2013 at 1:06pm, and uploaded it to YouTube on 1 October 2014.
