A photograph looking east down London Street from the north-west corner of the London and Canterbury Street intersection. The Volcano Cafe, Lava Bar, and Lyttelton Fisheries have been demolished on the left side of the street, leaving vacant sites.
A photograph of the earthquake-damaged Stone Chamber of the Canterbury Provincial Council Buildings on Durham Street North. Large sections of the Chamber have collapsed and the masonry and other rubble has spilled onto the footpath in front. To the left scaffolding constructed up the side of the building has also collapsed and twisted out of shape. Wire fences have been placed along the side of the building as a cordon.

The Provincial Chambers building has been largely deconstructed and plastic sheeting has been placed over part of the roof. Wire fencing has been placed around the buildings.

The University of Canterbury's E-Learning team's temporary office in the James Hight building. The photographer comments, "First looks at our new temporary (maybe) office space. Our group will stay here until April or May 2011, then will move to another floor in the Central Library. Common area. More offices run along the north wall at the left. Through the doors are the male toilets and a stair well".
