Demolition continues on the old Beckenham shops after the 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch on the 4th September 2010. So sad to see history die - both buildings and business.

Light-Relief - With no power after the 6.3 magnatude quake hit Christchurch (22 February 2011) the neighbour's freezer thawed out along with their Deep South Ice Cream - so Tiggles the Kunekune Piglet thinks the spoils of the power-cut are yummy!

After 36 million liters of water mysteriously disappeared from this reservoir on Huntsbury Hill following the February 22nd 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch work has started on repairing it. This image shows just how large the tank is with a work-truck parked inside it.
