The bricks and other rubble have mostly been cleared from the footpath and street in front. Wire fences have been placed around the building as a cordon. In the distance there is a large pile of bricks on a property where another building has collapsed.

The seismic survey truck T-Rex (from University of Texas) was in Bexley and Pacific Park a few days ago and may have left this calling card on the front lawn of my old "red zone" house. Obviously the geotechs will know what it means.

The Church of the Good Shepherd (Philips Street) is a fine example of High Victorian Gothic architecture and was designed by Benjamin Woolfield Mountfort in 1884. It has suffered some major damage during 6.3 quake that hit Christchurch 22 February 2011.

My house (bought in March 2004) till the government procured it in October 2012, is finally being demolished. It will be an empty section in a couple of days, once they rip up the concrete base.
