The McKenzie and Willis building on High Street with damage to the top storey. The side wall has crumbled, exposing the inside of the building where the roof has been propped up by scaffolding. The front facade of the building is also damaged and is held upright by steel bracing.
Felled trees near the Park Terrace bridge in Hagley Park. A lamp post in the background is on a noticeable lean and a damaged shipping container can be seen to the left. The shipping container was damaged when the tree fell during the 22 February 2011 earthquake.
The Harbourlight Theatre on London Street in Lyttelton. There is cracking along the side of the building and damage to the domes on top of the towers. Bracing has been placed at the top to limit further damage and to stop debris from falling on the road.
St Luke's church on the corner of Manchester and Kilmore Streets. Tape and fencing have been placed around the building to keep people away. There is damage to the top of the gable, and tarpaulins covering the hole to prevent weather damage to the inside of the building.
St Johns Church on Hereford Street with damage to the tip of the archway and a red sticker on the door indicating that the building is unsafe to enter. The side of the church has been braced to stabilise the west wall and limit further damage from aftershocks.
