Another city walk around, this time with my brother-in-law from Auckland. Also went to the Quake City exhibition in the city organised by the Canterbury Museum. First fine day for a while.

Damage to a house in Richmond. A brick chimney has visibly twisted and there are gaps between the bricks. The photographer comments, "One chimney is damaged but still standing - for now. (It was taken down on the morning of Day 2, just as well)".
Looking across an empty site on the corner of Colombo and Hereford Streets where several buildings have been demolished, the Ibis Hotel and ANZ building are visible in the background. Taken on a day when a walkway was opened up between Re:Start Mall and Cathedral Square to allow temporary public access.
