Construction materials outside a house on Canterbury Street in Lyttelton. The house is being demolished after the 22 February 2011 earthquake. Wire fencing and road cones cordon off the area, and a bulldozer and a digger are parked on the road.

Shops on Colombo Street in Christchurch - damaged in earthquake and then partially demolished to reduce risk from unstable materials which might otherwise be dislodged in strong winds or subsequent aftershocks. The 1590 aftershocks recorded to date have continued to cause further damage.
A Gap Filler mini-golf site made out of recycled materials. This hole was situated on Manchester Street on an empty demolition site. Gap Filler volunteers and community groups designed and installed mini-golf holes on vacant sites around the central business district.
