Christchurch Earthquake, the clean up begins, with residents clearing mud and sand off there properties onto the roadside.
A local resident walks to the nearest dairy for essentials after the 7.1 magnitude quake, that has caused major infrastructure damage to Christchurch City.
This has made a huge mess for the residents to clean up. I heard on the news that homes have been damaged by subsidence in areas of earthquake-caused liquefaction like this.
Manchester Courts, a seven-storey building on the corner of Hereford and Manchester Streets, is a category one historic place built in 1905-1906 that up until the 7.1 earthquake, housed offices.
News of the scheduled demolition provoked an emotional response from the people of Christchurch.

A planting of native bushes and trees in the old children's playground area in Bexley, Organised by the Facebook group Avon River Park and assisted by ex Bexley residents. This is right in the middle of the Bexley red zone with most houses removed or demolished now.
