Taken one week after the 6.3 magnatude quake hit Christchurch 22 February 2011. Processed in HDR. Great to see the clean up already - lifts our spirits!.
Cleaning up the silt and sand from Hoon Hay properties. Here Laura, Robbie, and Ronny are part of the clean-up crew on Wyn Street.

After the liquefaction has been cleaned up we have piles of the stuff on our streets waiting for the council to pick it up. This little Gnome is obviously doing its bit as Christchurch cleans up after the 6.3 magnitude quake 22 February 2011.
The last pile of liquefied silt to be cleaned up, from our lawn.
Christchurch Earthquake, the clean up begins, with residents clearing mud and sand off there properties onto the roadside.
Cleaning up Manning Signs of the silt from liquefaction. Three fellow workers man the shovels while two building engineers talk to the boss (hidden). After doing the car park we then turned our hands to the inside of the factory, once clearance was given that we could go inside.
Clean-up in the CBD of Christchurch is well under way after the 6.3 magnitude quake 22 Febraury 2011.

Cordon Barrier on Manchester Street South as the clean-up of the CBD continues after the 6.3 earthquake hit Christchurch 22 February 2011.
This has made a huge mess for the residents to clean up. I heard on the news that homes have been damaged by subsidence in areas of earthquake-caused liquefaction like this.
