Meet the UC CEISMIC interns: Rebecca
This semester University of Canterbury Bachelor of Arts intern Rebecca Godfrey is building on the project done last semester with Environment Canterbury by studying and reporting on changes to their policies and processes since the earthquakes.
Rebecca writes about her experiences as an intern with the project:
Hi my name is Rebecca Godfrey and I am currently in my final semester of a BA degree, double majoring in political science and geography. I am also completing an arts internship project where I am working with Environment Canterbury and UC CEISMIC.
My role is to research and collect information regarding the ways in which Environment Canterbury's policy and processes have been altered as a result of the Canterbury earthquakes. Throughout this research process I will also be identifying material which may be contributed to UC CEISMIC.
I am excited about working on this project and am looking forward to some interesting findings. The relationship between UC CEISMIC and ECan has been very positive and I am hoping to contribute to this through the sharing of information and suggested contributions ECan can make to UC CEISMIC. This internship is allowing me to put to use the skills and ideas I have learnt at the University of Canterbury in a real world context which is a great opportunity.
